Our founder Jyrki Kyläheiko has been a partner in couple of fast growing IT agencies. In both of these he has noticed, that after 30 employees it gets difficult to remember who knows what skills and in which kind of projects people are involved now or have been working in the past.
In worst cases they even mistakenly double-booked their employee by accident and Jyrki wanted to make sure this never happens again. At the same time employees were often not happy with the projects they were allocated into. They were missing possibilities to make their own project wishes and work with technologies and customers they would like to.
The idea of Allocat was born.
